From here, after breakfast, we went to Pompeii, destroyed in AD 79 by the eruption of Mt. Vesuvius.
It was not the lava flow that buried this city; it was the ash.

An afternoon walk on the Promenade Deck
got back to thev ship for lunch and relaxing. Bruce went for a swim.
good dinner with all of our table mates tonight. excellent show in the theater. joined some Brits in the Golden Lion Pub for a Jeapordy like trivia game. Great fun.
